Data Collection and Use

WinkerkReader does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data accessed by the app is used solely for local functionality and remains on your device.

1. Phone Settings

The app accesses certain system settings to:

- Check notification listener permissions.

- Verify overlay permission for drawing over other apps.

- Request exact alarm scheduling.

- Open system settings pages when needed.

These accesses are used only to enable core features and are not stored or shared.

2. Contacts (WhatsApp)

The app reads contact information associated with WhatsApp accounts to:

- Display WhatsApp status or enable WhatsApp messaging for members (if configured).

- Match phone numbers with member data.

Contact data is temporarily loaded into memory and never stored persistently or transmitted.
You can revoke contact permission at any time via system settings.

3. Device Identifier

A device identifier (such as Android ID) may be read for internal purposes (e.g., to distinguish installations). This identifier is not linked to any personal information and is not shared.

4. Phone State and Calls

If you enable call monitoring, the app may access phone state to detect incoming calls. This is used solely to provide call-related features (e.g., showing member info during a call). No call logs or audio are recorded or shared.

5. Notifications

The app may request notification listener access to read incoming notifications (e.g., for WhatsApp integration). This data is processed locally and immediately discarded.

6. Storage

The app reads and writes files on your device to:

- Store member database and preferences.

- Import/export data (e.g., via Dropbox integration, which only accesses local files).

No files are uploaded to any server.

7. Alarms

Exact alarms are scheduled to trigger local reminders (e.g., birthday reminders, widget updates). No alarm data leaves your device.

Permissions Explained

`SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW`	Draw overlays (if feature enabled).
`NOTIFICATION_LISTENER`	Read notifications for WhatsApp integration.
`SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM`	Schedule precise reminders.
`STORAGE`	Read/write database and import/export files.
ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY`	Manage do-not-disturb settings if needed.

All permissions are used only for the features described and you can disable them individually in system settings.

Data Sharing

We do not share any personal data with third parties.
No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs are used. All data remains strictly on your device.

Children's Privacy

• WinkerkReader does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Our app is safe for users of all ages as it does not collect any data.

• We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
